Honghongyanchang Village in Chun ‘an County, Zhejiang Province, is hidden in the mountains on the southwest shore of Qiandao Lake. This is an important red education base in western Zhejiang – the “Former Site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China Chun ‘an County Committee” at the village entrance, the revolutionary slogans on the wall, the old military uniforms and kerosene lamps in the display cases all record the revolutionary years of the 1930s. Every year, tens of thousands of Party members, students and tourists come here to trace the red footprints. But in the past few years, people often said that they were “confused by the stories” : to know the details of the “First Congress of the County Committee”, one had to wait for the human tour guide to arrange the shift. Tourists from other places, looking at the introduction boards of the exhibits, can’t remember the “struggle history of the revolutionary predecessors”. When there are many people, the explanations blend together, and even the question “Why is Yanchang Village a red fortress?” cannot be heard clearly. It was not until the Yingmi M7C automatic sensing tour guide system?was implemented that all these troubles were solved. Now, tourists wear the lightweight tour guide devices. Wherever they go, they can hear the revolutionary stories clearly in their ears, and the red memories also come alive.
I. Explanation of the “Old Problem” in Red Yanchang Village: Good Stories Can’t be Passed on to the Heart
Yanchang Village is no ordinary tourist village; it shoulders the mission of “inheriting the red gene”. However, the traditional tour guide method has deliberately “hidden” these precious revolutionary stories, leaving tourists “seeing the ruins but not understanding the spirit”.
1. Manual explanations are “not enough”, and during peak season, people have to wait in line for half a day
There are eight core visiting points in Yanchang Village: “The Former Site of the First National Congress of the County Committee”, “Revolutionary Slogan Wall”, “Red Memorial Hall”, “Former Residence of Martyrs”, etc. The historical background of each point needs to be elaborated in detail. During the peak tourist season, the daily reception capacity can exceed 500 people. However, there are only three full-time tour guides in the village, and they can lead at most six groups a day. As a result, most tourists have to “explore on their own”.
Sister Fang, who was in charge of the reception, remembers it very clearly: “Last July 1st, the founding Day of the Communist Party of China, more than 20 groups of Party members came. Tourists queued up to wait for explanations. There was an elderly man who waited from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. before it was his turn to listen to the story of the First Congress of the County Committee. Before he finished, he had to catch a bus. Before leaving, he said, ‘Such an important history, it’s such a pity not to have heard it all.'” ” What’s even more frustrating is the temporary visitors. Without making an appointment in advance, they can’t find a guide and can only take pictures of the exhibits. They don’t even know the names of the revolutionary predecessors or what they did.
2. Explain “incoherence”, red memories are fragmented
Tourists follow the tour guide to visit, and the route is mostly “from the old site to the memorial hall, and then to the former residence of the martyrs”. Traditionally, the tour guide has to manually switch the equipment or start the tour again after reaching the new scenic spot. For instance, when walking from the “slogan wall” to the “memorial hall”, the guide has to turn off the equipment at the previous point first and then turn on the new one. There is always a “gap” in between. Sometimes the equipment is not properly adjusted. When visitors reach the memorial hall, they are still listening to the content on the slogan wall, leaving them completely confused.
Once, when I was leading a student group on a visit, we reached the old military uniform display case in the memorial hall. The equipment was still explaining the meaning of the slogans on the wall. The students asked, “Teacher, why are you still talking about the slogans?” Sister Fang could only awkwardly apologize for the debugging. “Originally, the revolutionary story was coherent. With such a break, the child simply couldn’t remember the cause and effect before and after.” “
3. Multilingual “bottleneck”, overseas visitors understand the scenery but not the “history”
In recent years, the number of overseas visitors to Yanchang Village has gradually increased. There are foreign students coming to China for exchanges and scholars studying red culture. However, the guided tour service is not up to standard – there are only Chinese explanations and no foreign language translations for the exhibit introduction boards. Once, a group of South Korean students came to visit. They stared at the old photo of “The First Congress of the County Committee” for a long time. When they used a translation software to look up “Chun ‘an County Committee”, it turned out to be “Chun ‘an County Government”. The staff could only explain it in simple English. Although the students nodded, their eyes were full of confusion.
We want our overseas friends to learn about China’s revolutionary history, but due to the language barrier, no matter how good the red stories are, they can’t be passed on. Lao Zheng, the village operation supervisor, said that this has become the biggest obstacle for Yanchang Village to build an “international red education base”.
II.?Yingmi M7C: Breaking the Deadlock with “Smart Sensing” to make Red Explanations more touching
After learning about the pain points of Yanchang Village, Yingmi did not simply promote general equipment. Instead, she sent a technical team to stay in the village for three days: following the tourists throughout the entire journey and recording the questions they often asked. Test the signals at each red scenic spot; After analyzing the multilingual demands, a solution centered on the M7C automatic sensing interpretation system was finally customized – from “automatic triggering” to “multilingual adaptation”, every function precisely meets the needs of red cultural tourism.
1. RFID automatic sensing: Just talk as you go, no need to press by hand
The most surprising feature of the M7C for tourists is its “seamless trigger” function – it adopts advanced RFID modulation technology. The technical team has installed signal transmitters at all eight core scenic spots in Yanchang Village. When tourists wear the tour guide device and approach within a range of 0.5 to 1 meter, the device will automatically identify the position and start the explanation, eliminating the need for manual operation at all.
When reaching the wooden door of the “Former Site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China in Chun ‘an County”, the tour guide machine automatically rang: “In July 1930, the First Congress of the Communist Party of China in Chun ‘an County was held in this room. Thirteen representatives risked their lives to discuss the direction of the revolutionary struggle. This place also became an important starting point of the revolution in western Zhejiang…” ; When they reached the “Revolutionary Slogan Wall”, the explanation switched to: “The slogan ‘Beat the rich and distribute the land’ on this wall was left by the Red Army guerrillas in 1935. At that time, the soldiers wrote it with a mixture of ash from the bottom of a pot and glue. Even after going through wind and rain, it is still clearly visible…”
To adapt to the outdoor scenes in the village, the technical team has also optimized the signal transmitter – supporting 12 signal strength level adjustments. Even in rainy days or areas blocked by trees, the sensing remains accurate. The transmitter is powered by a lithium battery. A single charge can last for 12 months, eliminating the need for frequent replacement and saving a lot of trouble. Sister Fang said, “Nowadays, tourists can just explore on their own. The tour guide machines follow the steps and explain. Both the elderly and children can use them. No one asks’ How to switch the content ‘anymore.”
2. Anti-interference + long battery life: Clear listening even when there are many people, and the device can be used all day long without shutting down
The Red Memorial Hall in Yanchang Village is not large in space. During peak season, it is crowded with tourists, and traditional equipment is prone to “crosstalk”. The M7C adopts a high-frequency signal of 2400MHz-2483.5MHz, combined with GFSK modulation, which can effectively resist interference from mobile phones and other electronic devices. Even if dozens of people visit the memorial hall at the same time, each person’s guide device can clearly play the corresponding content without any sound mixing.
The battery life of the device is also very impressive: it is equipped with an 180mAh lithium battery, which can work continuously for up to 7 hours and has a standby time of 11 hours, which is more than enough for tourists to “wander from morning till night”. Once, a group of Party members visited from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The tour guide machine still had 20% battery left and did not need to be charged during the visit. Sister Fang said, “Before, with ordinary equipment, I had to change the battery in half a day. Now, I don’t have to worry about it all day long. It’s much more convenient.”
The tour guide machine also supports a “recording function”, allowing tourists to record the explanations and listen to them repeatedly after returning home. The body of the device is equipped with wear-resistant buttons. Even when children in the village occasionally hold it in their hands to play with, it is not easy to get damaged. After using it for half a year, there has never been a single malfunction.
3. Detail Design: Make the red explanations more “warm”
Many of the small designs of M7C are particularly in line with the needs of red education: for instance, it supports “single-segment voice playback limit”, and important revolutionary stories (such as “Details of the First National Congress of the County Committee”) can be set to “play only once” to prevent tourists from missing key information. The 2.8-inch true-color screen of the tour guide machine can display pictures of the current scenic spots being explained. Combined with voice, it makes the “stories in old photos” more intuitive. The headphones are equipped with dual 3.5mm interfaces, allowing tourists to connect their own headphones externally, which is both hygienic and convenient.
The most considerate feature is the “language memory function” – if a visitor used English last time, it will automatically switch to English when the device is turned on next time, eliminating the need for repeated Settings. Lao Zheng said, “There’s a French scholar who comes for research every month. Every time I turn on the device, it’s directly in French mode. He said, ‘This detail makes me feel very considerate, as if it was specially prepared for me.'” “
Iii. Implementation Achievements: New Changes in the Red Cultural Tourism of Yanchang Village
The Yingmi M7C automatic sensing interpretation system has been in place in Yanchang Village for half a year. It has brought about not only a change in the “interpretation method”, but also a leap in the “effect of red culture dissemination”. These changes are hidden in the feedback of tourists and also written in the operation data of the village.
1. Tourists experience “from shallow to deep”, and their red memories become more profound
The village conducted a survey: Among the tourists who used the M7C to listen to explanations, the proportion of those who could retell knowledge points such as “the time of the First National Congress of the County Committee” and “the meaning of revolutionary slogans” was 60% higher than that of traditional explanations. The average stay time of tourists has been extended from 1.5 hours to 3 hours, and the proportion of tourists who have “in-depth visits” (covering more than six scenic spots) has increased from 40% to 75%.
An elderly Party member said after visiting, “Before, when I followed a tour group, I didn’t catch many details clearly. This time, using the tour guide, I listened slowly to the story of the First Congress of the County Committee. Only then did I realize how hard it was for our predecessors. The red spirit has truly been engraved in my heart.” The feedback from the student group was also very good. The children, wearing the tour guide devices, would actively ask, “What happened to the martyrs later?” After the tour, they could also share revolutionary stories with the teachers.
2. The brand influence “from the inside out” has become a benchmark for red cultural tourism
The M7C system in Yanchang Village has also become a “learning model” for the surrounding red scenic spots – red bases such as Xiajiang Village and Fengshuling Town in Chun ‘an County have all come to visit and draw on it. In March 2025, Yanchang Village was also selected as a “Smart Red Education Base of Zhejiang Province” thanks to this system, attracting coverage from media outlets such as Zhejiang Daily and Zhejiang Satellite TV. Even red scenic spots from outside the province came to inquire about cooperation.
Even more surprisingly, the number of overseas exchange teams has increased. Currently, five groups of students from South Korea and France have visited. The construction of the “International Red Education Base” in Yanchang Village has finally taken a crucial step forward.

Conclusion: Let red stories be heard and remembered by more people
Nowadays, when visiting the Red Yanchang Village in Chun ‘an, one can often see such a scene: Party members wearing M7C audio guides are quietly listening in front of the “Former Site of the First National Congress of the County Committee”. Overseas tourists listened to the English explanations while taking pictures of the revolutionary slogans. The children surrounded the display case, following the sound of the guide machine and carefully memorizing “the names of the martyrs”. The mountain breeze blew by, and the interweaving of the explanations and the tourists’ exclamations created the most distinctive “sound landscape” of this red village.
Yingmi?has always believed that a good automatic sensor interpretation system should not be a “cold machine”, but a “megaphone of red culture” – helping red scenic spots tell revolutionary stories clearly and helping tourists remember the red memories deeply. In the future, Yingmi will continue to optimize the functions of M7C, such as adding AR interaction (allowing tourists to scan the code to see “revolutionary scenes recreating”) and expanding more minority languages, so that more people around the world can understand China’s red stories.
Whether it is the “Former Site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China” in Yanchang Village, Chun ‘an, or the red exhibition halls overseas, Yingmi hopes to use smart devices like the M7C to ensure that every precious revolutionary history can be clearly conveyed and remembered for a long time, and that the red spirit can be passed down from generation to generation across time and space.
